Better looking trail

Here is another horse ride I recorded with "My Tracks" the other day. The track is pretty clear, although it's not missing any bits you can see where it has taken some shortcuts (either that or we did some real trailblazing). You can also see where it follows the track perfectly.

I'm still not sure if the cloud cover upsets it, or if it's just the way it was in my pocket. I'll be interested to find out next time because my armband is finally here. I'll be testing it on the trails over the next few days. I was surprised that you can use the touch screen and see it quite well beneath the plastic cover. I might even be able to talk to people on speaker phone at full speed.

Big Weekend

Well, not really just the weekend, been flat out doing hinterland rides since thursday, and then lots of riders for the Noosa Show holiday. A good time had by all and we covered a lot of ground.

I finally worked out how to upload the my tracks data from my android phone to google, so check this out everyone. Apparently we did a total distance of 24.13km on this ride, this track is usually only about 22km, but if you can see where that really thick line is. That is where we went down that track and then couldn't resist one last quick uphill run. It is just such a great little track with some cool twists and turns.

Unfortunately, on the way in the track drops out a bit, I don't know why that is. I am hoping it is just because I have the phone in my pocket and that an armband will stop that happening.

Horse riding on top of the world

Check out the view from the fire tower, the my tracks app says we are at 451metres. You can see just about the whole Sunshine Coast from up there. We had a pretty fast climb up on some very fit little endurance horses.

The little horse I rode, Maverick, won a 100km endurance ride 2 weeks before, blitzed the field apparently.
